TIO NASON ANSWERS THE QUESTION ON WHETHER OR NOT HE’S A GOSPEL ARTIST
During a Meet The Fans session on Retunes Tio took time to respond to a frequently asked and debated subjected by fans on whether or not his a gospel artist.
He said it took him a long journey to arrive at a place where he was no longer comfortable being called a gospel artist as he feels it puts God in a box and prefers not to define one's artistic ability based on a single category of music.
Tio says he is a Christian who creates art, so long as it doesn’t go against his faith, irregardless of who it reaches or who it's for.

Therefore it doesn't matter if he does a love song or releases a song addressing the state of the nation or one addressing societies conducive-ness for the less privileged.
"The most important thing in any of these is your relationship with Christ if you have accepted Him as Lord over your life and whether or not you are one with Him, if you are, He will always work through your ability to reach someone that needs Him, despite the title given to it," Tio added
“If you paint, you don’t need to be called a gospel painter, you’re simply a Christian that happens to have the ability to paint..”
To crown it all he reiterated that more often than not it's through the songs that “religious” Christians have considered ‘non-gospel’ that have reached out to the lost and broken souls and led them to Christ.
